What is REIKI?

Rei-ki is Japanese and means: "Ki of Spirit" The invisible power of the soul, universal life energy, fire of life, energy of the creation, the energy of the origin, etc... KI We encounter KI in many cultures and healing methods under different names as: · Chi, Light, bio-energy, Mana, Prana, Orgon, Bioplasma, etc. and · Aikido, Zen, bioenergetics, Tai Chi, orgonaccumulator, etc. From the original SHIN-KI (the origin) is born REI-KI (Yin and Yang). Ying and Yang produce JO-KI (magnetism) and as next vibration in form of electricity, DEN-KI. Then evolved the atmosphere, water and the minerals. These we take in form of foods and convert into KE-KI (Blood), which nourishes the body. The existence of KI and its proper or disturbed flow of energy can be shown by different scientific methods (for example, the Kirlian photography). Is the flow of KI-energy disturbed by internal or external influences, blockages develop and the person becomes sick. All illnesses are a blockage of the correct flow of KI-energy.

What we call Reiki

Everybody is connected to the center of creation through a variety of energy channels. Many of these channels are activated by personal work like meditation, prayer or other methods.
One of these latent channels we designate as the Reiki-channel. It is one of the few known channels that require an activation (initiation) by Reiki-teachers (Reiki-masters).

Reiki is the energy of the origin and is, apart from the sexual energy, which is the purest and strongest spiritual energy, one of the most important channels for the evolution of mankind.

The energy of Reiki and those giving and receiving Reiki are accompanied, guided and protected by a number of spiritual beings of the great brotherhood. These, in turn, work together with the higher self of each giver and receiver of Reiki. It is with great wisdom that they determine and handle the energies and frequencies needed in each case.

We all know that love is the most potent energy of all the creation. This love and the work of the Reiki-brotherhood with the higher self of giver and receiver ensure adequate channeling of the appropriate energy.

How and what happens with us and others if we give or receive REIKI?

We know man and his body is a complex light-energy system. From acupuncture we know that life-energy flows through a multitude of energy channels (meridians, nadis) which are connected to chakras. Those charkas, apart from their connection with the glands, are the center of awareness.
The energy system of a correctly initiated person in REIKI is adjusted to the REIKI channel and the entire nervous system is stabilized. This means that the person is now capable of receiving and channeling higher frequencies of energy, without any harm (due to excess of energy).

It is possible to compare this way:

One could say the body is like a house connected to the electricity network and hands-on (as well as other ways of giving Reiki) is like switching on the light, energy flows.
The required energy and the frequency is determined by the higher self with the co-operation with the Reiki-brotherhood, as well as the duration of the healing session. Therefore, it is not possible to go wrong, fail or manipulate the energy.

The practice with REIKI shows us that the requirement always changes with person and situation. Therefore it has nothing to do with magic.

As the energy passes through all materials it is not necessary to take off clothing, watches or jewels etc.
The effects of the energy and the healing process are similar to alternative medicine, e.g., homeopathy. There is, however, one difference: the permanent flow of universal love while giving and receiving REIKI.
Although good books can transmit theory about Reiki, it can only be experienced through practice and experiment.
